Why this exists

The time calculator adds finished lengths, and the stopwatch times a second that is still running. This page turns a distance you ran and the time it took into pace per kilometre and speed together.

Pace is time divided by distance. 10 km in 50:00 is 300 seconds for one kilometre, and 60 divided by 5 is a speed of 12.00 km/h.

  1. 01How to use it

Edit the distance and the hours, minutes, and seconds, or press − 1 min, + 1 min, 5 km, and 10 km. The pace per kilometre changes at once, and a line says what the button just did.

The sample is 10 km and 50:00. The 5 km and 10 km buttons change only the distance. The pace minutes and seconds below turn that pace into a finish time for the same distance. Copy takes the split table.

  2. 02What you get

The large clock is 5:00. The line beside it shows 12.00 and the mile pace 8:03 together.

The table is the time at 1 km, 5 km, and 10 km. Recent results stay in this browser.

  3. 03Worth knowing

Minutes and seconds stop at 59. The mile pace multiplies by 1.609344 km and rounds those seconds to the nearest second.

The interval timer rings a work bout. This page only keeps the average pace. Nothing is sent to a server.

How this page works it out
