Unix time

Seconds and milliseconds are told apart by the size of the number. The clock is this device’s time zone.

This device ISO 8601 UTC Milliseconds
Right now Milliseconds

Why this exists

1700000000 in a log is seconds, and 1700000000000 is milliseconds. Reading the wrong width shifts the year by decades.

A date alone, such as 2024-01-02, is the start of that day.

  1. 01How to use it

Paste a number under number to date. The size decides seconds or milliseconds.

Under date to number, pick a date and a time, or press now, start of today, or end of today.

  2. 02What you get

1700000000 is read as seconds, with the same instant in ISO 8601 and UTC.

The card for right now refreshes its seconds and milliseconds every second.

  3. 03Worth knowing

An absolute value up to 9,999,999,999 is seconds. A longer integer of at most 13 digits is milliseconds, 16 digits is microseconds, and the rest is nanoseconds.

A day that does not exist, such as 2024-02-31, is not converted.
