In word mode, 12 and 24 are one token each, so the score is 87.50%.

Why this exists

A sentence that changes only a number scores 87.50% by words and 93.75% by characters.

Turn on only changes when the equal lines should leave the screen.

  1. 01How to use it

Put the original on the left and the other text on the right, or press Example.

Choose words or characters, and every line or only changes.

After typing pauses, the line numbers, the marks, and the score update.

  2. 02What you get

The contract line with 12 months and the line with 24 months score 87.50% by words.

The same sentence by characters keeps the shared 2, so the score is 93.75%.

    Entered12 months and 24 months

    Words 87.50%
    Characters 93.75%
    Same text 100
    Added line Right number only
  3. 03Worth knowing

Equal text scores 100 and the changed-line count is 0. Empty sides hide the score.

A line break that still holds a carriage return does not match a Unix line break, so every line can differ.

An added line has only the right number. A removed line has only the left number.

The colors come from classes on the page. The text is not uploaded.
