Why this exists

The stopwatch times a second that is still running, and the date calculator counts calendar days. This page adds finished lengths in hours, minutes, and seconds, and turns two clocks into the same kind of length.

Sixty seconds make a minute and sixty minutes make an hour. 1:20:00 plus 0:45:30 plus 2:10:15 is 15345 seconds, which the clock shows as 4:15:45.

  1. 01How to use it

    In Add, put a row and choose plus or minus. In Between, write the start and the end. If the end is earlier, it rolls to the next day.

    The sample adds three rows to 4:15:45. Split into 3 makes 1:25:15. Copy takes the table.

    The large clock is the total. The line beside it shows 4.2625 and 15345 together.

How this page works it out

This page turns finished lengths into seconds. 1:20:00 + 0:45:30 + 2:10:15 is 15345 seconds, the clock is 4:15:45, and the decimal hours are 4.2625. Split in three, one piece is 1:25:15.

From 09:40:00 to 18:05:30 is 8:25:30. From 22:00:00 to 06:30:00 the next day is 8:30:00. If the end is earlier than the start, a day is added.
