Why this exists

A heading and a sentence can share the same words and still follow different first-letter rules. Title case grows at each space, and sentence case grows after . ! or ?.

This page does not check spelling. It only changes the size of letters.

    The sentence case of a.2b is A.2B. The first letter after a period grows.

    Letters that have no uppercase or lowercase, including Korean letters, stay the same in all four results.

How this page works it out

This page shows the same text in uppercase, lowercase, title case, and sentence case. hello world is HELLO WORLD, hello world, Hello World, and Hello world. the lord of the rings in title case is The Lord Of The Rings, and of and the grow too.

Title case lowercases the whole text, then capitalizes the first letter after a space, hyphen, apostrophe, or en dash. well-known becomes Well-Known. Sentence case capitalizes the first letter and the first letter after . ! or ?. The sentence case of HELLO WORLD is Hello world. The sentence case of a.2b is A.2B.

The page uses the default Unicode case mapping. The uppercase of i is I, and the dotted Turkish capital is not used. The uppercase of ß is SS, so lowercasing STRASSE returns strasse. The uppercase of école is ÉCOLE. Letters with no case stay as they are. More than 100,000 characters stops. This changes letter size, not spelling, and the text stays in this browser.
